Tony Moller

Tony Moller

Tony Moller was born in Florida, but has spent most of his life in the Northern Virginia area. He is an NRA Certified Training Counselor, Instructor and Chief Range Safety Officer. Tony has been involved with Scouting for over 15 years, since his son was a Tiger Cub. He is currently the Adviser for BSA Venturing Crew 1150 in Alexandria, VA. In addition to being the Crew Adviser, he is also an Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 1150. At the District level he is the past present Chapter Adviser for the Colonial Chapter of the Order of the Arrow, and presently the Boy Scout Roundtable Commissioner. He is also a staff instructor on the Colonial District Training Team. Tony is a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow. On the Council level he is the Vice-Chair for Firearms and Instruction on the Council’s Shooting Sports Committee. He is fully trained as an adult Boy Scout and Venture Scout Leader, with additional training and certification in First Aid, CPR, and Wilderness First Aid. His shooting interests are action style pistol shooting and precision rifle shooting. After taking muzzle loading instructor certification, muzzle loading looks to be a new favorite. Tony is married to Sue Feeney of Little Falls, NY. They have three children, three grandchildren, and more than enough cats and dogs.

Michael Johnson

Michael Johnson is a NRA Certified Instructor, Chief Range Safety Officer, and a NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor.  He’s been involved with Scouting for 10 years as a Scout and 3 years as a Scout Leader with the Cub Scouts.  He’s trained in Youth Protection for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts & Venturing Crews; and works within the Zekiah Scout District to bring the Shooting Sports back to Southern Maryland.  Mike also serves as a Merit Badge Counselor for the Zekiah Scout District as well as Troop 1780.

His interests include pistol/rifle/shotgun shooting, teaching and coaching others in safe gun handling, promoting the shooting sports and assisting his fellow VGS instructors with the Certified Instructor classes that they do so that he stays current with his own training.  He still wants to become a Training Counselor, but isn’t in as much of a hurry since earning his Chief Range Safety Officer credentials.  Mike is married to Dawn Roode of Waldorf, MD.  They have one son, Alexander (who shoots better than his Dad) and one dog named Chuckie.

Judi McCuistion

Judi McCuistion was born in Washington State and while growing up traveled across the country finally landing in the Northern Virginia area. She is an NRA Certified Training Counselor, Instructor and Chief Range Safety Officer. Judi has been involved with Scouting for over 15 years since her son was a Tiger Cub. She is currently involved in many areas within the Boy Scouts in the Alexandria, VA area. She is fully trained as an adult Boy Scout and Venture Scout Leader, with additional training and certification in First Aid, CPR, and Wilderness First Aid. Judi’s interests are in teaching youth in gun safety and pistol shooting. Judi is married to Doug of Royal Oak Michigan and resides in Alexandria with their grown son, two cats and a lab named Pooh.

Mike Phillips

Mike Phillips is a native of South Texas. He is a NRA Certified Instructor, Training Counselor and Chief Range Safety Officer and has been training youth and adults since 2007. He is an active adviser with BSA Venturing Crew 1150 and works throughout the local Scouting Community. His shooting interests include silhouette and skeet shooting. Additionally, he is an avid hunter throughout the fall and spring. He is a Navy Petty Officer and a member of the Navy Recruiting Team in Springfield, Virginia.  Mike is married to Meghan Holland of Zuni, Virginia and they reside in Alexandria with their Siberian Husky, Kodiak.
